MeraEvents, founded in 2009 and headquartered in Hyderabad, is India’s first and most comprehensive end-to-end event technology platform. The company was established to solve the fragmented and manual workflows that plagued the Indian event industry — including discovery, registration, ticketing, promotions, and attendee management. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, MeraEvents was powering over 3 million ticket transactions annually, facilitating more than 200,000 events, and managing a monthly ticketing GMV (gross merchandise value) of over ₹10 crore. It served organizers across 250+ cities in India, and had partnerships with major corporate clients, industry conferences, entertainment brands, training providers, and government agencies.
Market Position & Need:
India’s event industry — which spans from weddings and religious gatherings to tech conferences, marathons, and music festivals — was long underserved by organized technology. MeraEvents identified early the need for digitization, online ticketing, and centralized attendee management. While ticketing platforms like BookMyShow were focused on cinema and entertainment, MeraEvents built a B2B and B2C platform tailored to the needs of professional event organizers.
From day one, it operated with the intent to simplify the entire event lifecycle:
• Before the Event: Listing, custom event pages, registrations, ticket types, early bird discounts
• During the Event: QR-based check-in, badge printing, mobile scanner apps
• After the Event: Data analytics, attendee reports, CRM integration

In 2024–2025, MeraEvents has begun its relaunch phase, backed by a fresh tech stack, a modern UI/UX design approach, and tighter integration with Planica, its new AI-powered event planning and collaboration SaaS. The new platform is being positioned for:
